Ida Townley Memorial Hay Ride

A LONG TIME AGO, ON A FARM FAR FAR FROM TOWN, ED AND IDA TOWNLEY HELD THE FIRST BMCSNM HAYRIDE, BONFIRE AND WIENER ROAST.

IT WAS SUCH FUN THAT THE EVENT WAS REPEATED ANNUALLY FOR MANY MANY YEARS. AFTER A FOUR OR FIVE YEAR HIATUS,   THE IDA TOWNLEY MEMORIAL HAYRIDE WAS HELD THIS YEAR IN HER MEMORY.

50+ HARDY SOULS ATTENDED THE EVENT, AND ENJOYED THE ENTERTAINMENT OF A POTATO CANNON SHOOT-OFF, HAYRIDES ALONG THE RIO GRANDE RIVER LEVEE, AND A MONUMENTAL BONFIRE, SUITABLE FOR ROASTING WIENERS AND MARSHMALLOWS.  NO ONE LEFT HUNGRY,  AS FOOD ABOUNDED.
